Fashion Fellows meet Oscar de la Renta at 92Y
NYC Fashion Fellows Accepting Applications for 2014 Program
Applications for the second annual NYC Fashion Fellows program are currently being accepted! An initiative of the NYCEDC and 92Y, the year-long fellowship program is designed for rising stars in fashion management. Fellows receive mentoring, networking and community-building opportunities, along with continuing education and career advancement workshops with industry professionals, in order to measurably accelerate their careers.
As part of the Fashion.NYC.2020 initiative to support the long-term growth of the City’s fashion industry, the program will help Fellows advance to the next stage of growth for their professional careers and their organizations, and will strengthen the community of fashion professionals as a whole.
The inaugural class of Fashion Fellows has not only received invaluable one-on-one executive-level mentoring and community-building opportunities, but benefited from such events as an exclusive breakfast meeting with Terry Lundgren, Chairman, President and CEO, Macy’s, Inc.; leadership workshop with Chester Elton, the New York Times-bestselling author on leadership and organizational management; and premium seating and VIP access at Fashion Icon series with Fern Mallis interviews with Betsey Johnson, Vera Wang, Suzy Menkes and Oscar de la Renta. The second class of participants will gain similar access to luminaries for industry insight and career development and networking opportunities.
To apply for the 2014 program, candidates must be nominated by a current or previous supervisor here. Once the completed nomination form is submitted, the nominated applicant will receive an email with instructions on how to apply. Nominations will be accepted until September 30, 2013. Please share the program information with any fashion management professionals who may be interested in nominating or being nominated for consideration!
