Nominations Open for the 2013 Class of NYC Venture Fellows

Do you know the next high-profile global entrepreneur?
NYC Venture Fellows is a highly selective, year-long fellowship program designed to help the next generation of global entrepreneurs “make it” in New York City. Established by NYCEDC in partnership with Fordham University, the program provides Fellows with executive-level mentoring, exclusive networking opportunities, and resources to help them scale their businesses.
Past Venture Fellows have included the leaders of fast-growing NYC-based ventures such as Lot18, Warby Parker, and Catchafire, as well as the founders of MINIWIZ from Taiwan, Student Competitions from Sweden, and soleRebels from Ethiopia.
“Being a NYC Venture Fellow has been very helpful through networking with fellow entrepreneurs at similar stages. Mentorship as well—having an engaged mentor who runs a large—but not too large—business has been a huge gift.”
– Philip James, Co-founder & President, Lot18
Ideal candidates for NYC Venture Fellows are NYC-based or international entrepreneurs who:
- Are the Founder or Co-founder of an innovative organization (for profit or not-for-profit) with the potential to create significant, sustainable employment in New York City
- Have a history of extraordinary achievement, substantial leadership, and demonstrated global perspective
- Demonstrate positive societal impact
Anyone can nominate a potential NYC Venture Fellow! Nominations must be submitted by November 30, 2012. To learn more about the program and to submit a nomination, visit www.nycventurefellows.org.
