This week at NYCEDC: We kicked off the U.S. Open with a look at the economic impact of the tournament on NYC We welcomed ships through the Port of New York and New Jersey, the largest port on the East Coast which handles nearly 40 percent of the area’s shipping trade We put out a call for NYC Digital’s Fall Internship Position in social media and digital communications We helped bring manufacturing back to Brooklyn with the rejuvenation of the Brooklyn Navy Yard We urged you to apply for the next JumpStart Bootcamp, a free program that helps out-of-work professionals transition to new careers in NYC We lit up the Long Island City skyline with the new JetBlue sign atop the company’s headquarters in Queens We met Narita Kaur, one of the students participating in NYC Generation Tech and future start-up CEO, via her blog on her summer tech bootcamp experience We took in the view from Staten Island with a beautiful seaside photo from NYC & Co Have a great weekend and enjoy the holiday, NYC!
