Immigration Law for Startups Seminar

nycdigital:

On Tuesday, July 31 at 8pm, General Assembly is hosting a seminar, “Immigration Law for Startups,” taught by Carmita Alonso and Chad Blocker who are Partners at Fragomen.

Do you have questions about obtaining an employment visa? Or applying for a green card? This session will provide start-ups with an introduction to U.S. visa issues, with topics including student visas (F-1), employment visas (H-1B, E, TN, L-1 and O-1) as well as the permanent residence (green card) application process. Partners from Fragomen, a global law firm practicing exclusively in the area of immigration, will review the various visa categories and discuss the immigration-related challenges encountered by entrepreneurs in the U.S. as well as potential solutions to those challenges.  Along the way, these industry leaders will highlight new regulatory developments designed to help foreign entrepreneurs succeed in the U.S.
