According to a report released Monday by research firm IDC, the shift to cloud computing, and the economies of scale it allows, will bring the total of cloud-related jobs to more than 60,000 in New York this year—a bump of 17% over 2011—making the city the biggest beneficiary of the trend among the major metropolitan areas.
